British Airways used Concorde twice daily on the London - New York route (flight time under three and a half hours), and once a week to Barbados. The last flight took place on 23 November 2003. In addition to its record performance in supersonic flight the advances in aviation technology and the successful joint development and production of Concorde by Aerospatiale and the British Aircraft Corporation are also worthy of mention.

Il-86 The Ilyushin Il-86 is the first and most important Russian wide-body passenger aircraft in serial production. The Ilyushin design office started developing the Il-86 in the beginning of the 70s. The first flight of a prototype aircraft took place at the end of 1976. The Il-86 has been in use by the Russian National airline “Aeroflot” since the 80s. In total 103 IL-86 were built, of which most are still in service with various Russian airlines.
