Steampunk Rocket (Victoriana) Print.
The Steampunk spirit reaches into imagination and extrapolation of scientific alternatives with a distinctly Victorian perspective.....a what if universe were clock work mechanisms and riveted metal are the norm. This Steampunk Rocket is a natural evolution from the visions of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells and this interplanetary traveller is of course fully equipped with top hat waistcoat and probably the makings for a cup of tea in his holdall.
The model was built for a feature in Sci-fi & fantasy modeller magazine volume 34 Century Castings Atomic Rocket Ship. Additions include resin rivets, watch parts and a fine paint job designed to enhance the overall metallic worn and weathered appearance typical of the Steampunk age.
The artwork of Des Knock BSc. has appeared in many venues ranging from Glastonbury Abbey (2006), 37 horror book covers, a number of hobby modelling magazines, and of late a range of aviation subjects that have resulted in Christmas cards for the RAF100, RAF Hendon Museum, LAHC etc. and museum designs displayed around the UK And in one instance for a New York theatre production.
This 12 x 8 inch production is printed on quality photographic paper ready to be framed. Each print will be author signed and not just be a copy of a signature hence collectible. And this will be the first in a collection to be designed.
