Fine Molds is a company that is energetically releasing widely-acclaimed models of Japanese subjects. This set is a limited edition collaboration between Tamiya and Fine Molds and includes Tamiya's Type 1 Self-Propelled Gun kit matched with four crew figures from Fine Molds. The open top fighting compartment features sharp details, and the figures, two crew in work fatigues and two officers, come in realistic poses to enable diorama creation. A set of decals including rank insignia is also included.

About the Type 1 Self-Propelled Gun
The Type 1 Self-Propelled gun was the result of mounting a 75mm field gun on the chassis of the Type 97 Medium Tank. About 240 examples were built from 1943 and they equipped the mobile artillery regiments of armored divisions. Although only a few were available during the battle for the Philippines, they became known as the only Japanese vehicle that could destroy an American tank.
