AIRFIX 1:32nd 1910 B TYPE OMNIBUS
DESCRIPTION
1910 B - Type Omnibus - Airfix A06443
The B-Type Omnibus made its production debut in 1910. The standardized omnibus had many characteristics of the horse-drawn buses of the past and was widely produced. Both a standard double-decker version and a single-deck version were manufactured. The double-decker could accommodate eighteen passengers on the top deck and sixteen passengers on the lower deck. The construction of the bus was comprised mostly of wood. It featured a 4-cylinder water-cooled petrol engine with an output of 25hp. The omnibus' chassis was comprised of steel and fitted with cast-steel wheels and rubber tires. The fenders were structured on the sides of the wheels as a protective measure to keep passengers from rolling beneath the rear wheels.
